The 2021 Cornhusker Classic Sale will take place Friday, November 5 in conjunction with the inaugural NCC Fall Edition in Kearney, Neb.
The Nebraska Hereford Association was invited by the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic (NCC) Board of Directors to host the 2021 Cornhusker Classic Sale in conjunction with the inaugural NCC Fall Edition. The NHA Board of Directors voted unanimously in June to accept the invitation in the best interest of consignors, buyers and the association. The 2021 steer and heifer sale will take place Friday, Nov. 5 in the evening at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney, Neb.
Buy and Show
Sale consignments purchased by juniors are eligible to show that weekend at the NCC Fall Edition. Junior buyers are also eligible to take part in the 2022 NHA Futurity Show held in conjunction with the summer Nebraska Junior Hereford Association State Show. Payout of $1,000 and $600 will be awarded to Grand and Reserve Champions.
NCC Fall Edition
The Fall Edition of the NCC will be a youth expo open to the world featuring market beef, breeding heifer and prospect shows. A prospect steer and heifer sale will take place on Saturday. An array of youth contest will include Fitting, Ag Mechanics, Environmental and Natural Resources, Energy Systems, Welding and more. There will also be a “Bull Pen” display area for breeders to showcase upcoming bull sales.
